One of the things I realized, once I started doing things the "contrarian" way, opposite of what the "experts" on "hoarding" recommended - action is the best remedy, if there is any remedy to be had.
Doing is the best medicine for any "confusion" or "being stuck" or "overwhelm".
Thinking of how to organize ? Give it a try.
Thinking of a new creative use of something ? Test it, take it for a spin, find out how good this idea is.
Every single time, when I get stuck, hung up on "too many tasks", "too much going on" - I pick something relevant to do from the "menu", something arbitrary perhaps, and I do it - and it brings about clarity very quickly.
If one were to simply engage in more doing, out of everything they have been envisioning - this could solve a lot of problems.
Projects would get completed and put to use.
Materials would get consumed.
Satisfaction would be derived from the completion and the usage, hopefully.
Time would be spent in a constructive way - better than hesitating, or acquiring more things / materials, when there are already enough waiting to be used ( displacement principle ).
How did the experts not think of that ?
Why do they not recommend this as a possible solution ?
Why do they only question the need for things and whether or not to discard them, first and foremost ?
Why is there never a suggestion to just try out the envisioned usages of things kept, in all of their books ?
Jeez.
