They used a purely psychological and emotional lens, and completely ignored all other factors - such as
* nagging and yelling / toxic relationships being a huge red flag ( see respective entry for extensive details )
* resource constraints ( financial, time / attention / energy / memory )
* lacking tools / methods / processes / howto knowledge to properly handle all of - ideation, information and possessions
* lacking awareness of the full picture
* alternative explanations
But, experts zero-focused on their original assumptions, failed to question or verify them - instead, they followed the easy path of confirmation bias, their own judgemental perception etc.
