Frustrated Family Member ( FFM ) - Not Just Another Person Who Wants Improvement

I define an archetype of a Frustrated Family Member ( FFM ) - a family / household member ( spouse or otherwise ) who is not just desiring an improvement in the situation, a resolution of the dysfunction in possessions - but is exerting varying degrees of coercion, toxic behaviors and abuse ( e.g. nagging and yelling ).

This isn't just any family member who is interested in addressing specific issues, and is willing to cope constructively and respectfully.

FFM is a source of conflict, coersion, interruption, negativity, emotional volatility, abuse and stress, to varying degrees.

Now, I'm not suggesting anything about awareness, intentionality, fault - it may be that the FFM built up, in their mind, a very skewed model of reality and the relationship, and is simply acting on what makes sense to them.

It's also possible that the FFM's grievances are completely reasonable and legitimate, under whatever interpretation - they have been inconvenienced, perhaps even harmed or threatened by the possessions, perhaps even abused in a way.

One manifestation of abuse and harm does not justify another - two wrong don't make a right.

It is to be understood that health, safety and access to essential facilities, as impacted by dysfunction in possessions, should be made a priority and rectified with appropriate urgency - without resorting to abuse in return.

The FFM is likely to conflate essential, preferential and absolute cleanup, while applying "tough love" coercive measures - "I want ALL garbage gone, and ALL your possessions are garbage, and I am fed up with it! Clean up now, or I'll do it for you!".

This isn't an attempt to paint a bogeyman, a scapegoat, to blame - I don't even fault my own FFM for having the effects that they do - it's quite possible they are simply an unwitting participant in a bad spiral of dysfunction, and given the bad narrative from the "experts" and WAYTA blockage, and perahps their own deeply entrenched, habitual maladaptive coping mechanisms ( e.g. nagging and yelling to which they may have been exposed all their early life ), they never had a chance to do better.

This is simply to be able to discuss facts, characteristics and effects from this role, as it will certainly be occurring in real life.
